There is a news that a new group of radical Muslim has been founded in Mindanao. The group is called Justice Islamic Movement (JIM) and it was organized by Mohamad Ali Tambako who is a former member of Bansangmoro Islamic Freedom Fighters founded by Ameril Umbra Kato.
Based on a report, Kato and Tambako had
irreconcilable differences on some issues about the Muslim lives in Mindanao. But
there is no confirmation if the JIM and the BIFF has the same principles. The
BIFF wants to build a Islamic State in Mindanao that will governed by strict
Sharia laws.
According to the Armed Forces of the
Philippines (AFP) spokesman Col. Restituto Padila, based on their intelligence
report, Tambako undergone training in the Middle East after he quitted from
BIFF then he formed his own group of jihadist. Reportedly, the JIM have already
70 members and currently strengthen their forces.
The AFP believed that the group of
Tambako is cuddling the bomb expert basit Usman and five foreign militants.
Usman is one of the targets of the Special Action Forces (SAF) in Mamasapano
operation, but he made to escape from police troops.
On the other hand, the issue about the
Bansangmoro Basic Law is still a hot issue today. Filipino people have
different perception if this should be passed or not to become a law. Others believed that it
should be passed to attain peace in Mindanao while others believed that it is
not the answer to the problem. There is a possibility that the Moro Islamic
Liberation Front(MILF) will just boost their forces under this system. The
revolt also in Mindanao will never end because there are armed groups doesn’t
agree to the BBL like the MNLF, BIFF and the new formed group JIM.
