When you hear the name Karen Bordador , what comes first into your mind? Her name sounds like burador   or eraser. Yeah, she will erase the misconception of others that models are just for display. They also have talents that they can showcase. Like Karen, aside from being a model, she is also a DJ in an FM station and a host in Flippish.com, a popular internet TV. But wait, there’s more... she is also a columnist in Kristn.com, a lifestyle site under TV 5. She writes articles about women empowerment.

World Gamefowl Expo Beauties (Part 1)

The 4 th World Gamefowl Expo has been successful. It was a 3-day event (Jan. 17-19) held at the World Trade center back-to-back with World Pigeon Expo. It was organinized by World Exco and PitGames Media Inc. Thousand of gamefowl and pigeon afficionados  were attended in that said event. Intramuros: A Historical Place to Visit

Intramuros, or “inside the walls”, is a great venue if you want to go back to the Spanish era.   There are many old buildings in this place. Some are still intact but there are also ruined ones like the Aduana Building. You’ll see a lot of officers wearing guardia civil uniforms roaming around Intramuros. Aside from them, there are also a few Katipuneros out there wearing red pants. If you want to fully experience the old times, a calesa is available for you to ride.   The presence of fastfood restaurants or modern establishments here does not affect the wholeness of Intramuros as a place reflecting the atmosphere of old century. This place shows our rich culture and reminds us of our roots. I am not surprised anymore if you can find here the office of the National Commission of Culture and the Arts.

Meg Imperial: The Rise of an Actress

We cannot  deny the truth that Meg is popular right now, with more than 200k fans in Facebook. Truly young and beautiful, with a sexy body. That is why I am not surprised anymore when she became an FHM cover girl.

Blogger on TV: A Taste of Coffee

Kape at Balita: Writer's Episode             It feels good when you see yourself on TV. It seems that you are also a celebrity even if it will only last for a minute; at least you became famous for a while. Remember, almost every Filipino household have TV sets. Thanks to my blog because I was noticed by the researcher of GMA News TV named Arra Yendi Mendez when she visited my Tagalog blog ( Sanib-Isip ). That time, she was looking for a topic about Pinoy craft. She read one of my articles that tackles Original Pilipino Music and after that she sent an email asking if I am willing to be interviewed, without saying that she is working for a TV network. She gave her contact number and I coordinated with her immediately. We met in Farmers Plaza in Cubao and she learned that aside from blogging I’m also a book author. I released several books under Psicom Publishing. She introduced herself that she is from the marketing department of  Kape at Balita , a news TV program every mor

A True Friend

Man's Best Friend                                 His name is Ben. He is very popular in our place because he is the only one who roams around the village with a dog in tow. I first saw him when I was a kid. He is tall, thin and with white hair. I assume that he is now already 50 years old or more. Ben is so kind, the only difference is that his mindset is like that of a child’s. Other people who do not understand his situation call him “crazy.” I never heard that he hurt anyone. But the sad thing is, Ben was once hurt by drunk construction workers when Ben passed by in front of them. Just imagine, they beat Ben although he cannot fight back. They are the crazy ones, not Ben who is innocent about the world.
