The first video was uploaded to Facebook by
Chelsea Mae S. Luzanta, a University of Santo Tomas student. Then it got the
attention of the netizens until it was featured by TV networks and bloggers as well.
The first math wizard kid identified as Gerald answering difficult mathematical
questions. He answered very fast the questions without using calculator. He only
calculated the numbers in his mind.
But Gerald is not only the street children who are expert
in math; his friends also are math wizards like him. They answer math questions while they are
begging for some coins. According to the report the street children learned the
tactics in answering math from the UST Civil Engineering students. Because of
the viral videos of the street children who answering mathematical questions,
many people believed that they could have a bright future if there is an institution
help them. Their parents have no financial capacity to send them to school.
They don’t have a house; they only live in the street. The good news is there are
some organizations pledged that they will help the math wizard street children.
