Recently, Blogapalooza conducted their 3rd year activity on October 11 at SMX Convention Center in SM Aura, Taguig City. This was organized by wheninmanila.com of Vince Golangco and ourawesomeplanet.com of Anton Diaz. Both of them are bloggers who are popular in their respective niches and their blogs are gaining million views per month. Through their own experienced, they already proved that blog has a big impact; not only to the online readers but also to the advertisers.
The
aim of Blogapalooza is to bring products and services to bloggers through their
websites. It means that advertisers are already acknowledge the influence of
bloggers. Unlike before, they only trusted tradional media like television,
radio and print. They believed that each blogger has their own
followers and business owners and they want to reach out them also.
This
event became bigger compared to its last year. Fifty companies participated here.
The major sponsors of Blogapalooza were big companies such as Globe and Chooks
to Go. More than 700 bloggers was signed up and most of them attended here. Bloggers
had fun because they were many raffles
and freebies given by the sponsors.
They had also given a chance to meet the
managers and owners of some of the businesses. They were also entertained by a
band called Climax. This band is also conducting concert for a cause and they
called it MusiKARAMAY.
The
bloggers also given a chance to do their own doughnut through the courtesy of
Krispy Kreeme. Bloggers were also tested delicious foods of Yellow Cab, House
of Lasagna, Chips Ahoy and House of Noodles. El Diablo Beer from Indonesia was
also served to the bloggers. It has a great taste; it is not so sweet and not a
not a bitter also. You can’t compare it to the local beer here. You would also
like this even you’re not a drinker.
Aside
from freebies, Blogapalooza was also a star studded because there were some
celebrities who also joined like the YouTube sensation Bogart the Explorer,
Maxene Magalona who represented Flawless, Nicolehiya and Kris Tsuper who
endorsed Fukuda and Bobby Yan who endorsed Dyson. Michele Gumabao, an athlete
and became a part of Pinoy Big Brother: All In was gave her speech to inspire
bloggers.
