Burnham Park is one of the best
parks in the Philippines. It is located in Benguet, Baguio City. Like Luneta,
it is known as a trademark of a city. But Burnham Park is not wide as Luneta.
However, this park is really nice; it has its own charisma. That’s why the
tourists love to stay here including foreigners. When you say Baguio, maybe the
first thing that comes to your mind is Burnham Park.
When you’re here, you could be
totally relaxed here. It is really great to unwind here because of its
beautiful landscape and cold weather. The main attraction here is their man-man
lagoon where you can ride in a boat. The boat rental just cost 100 pesos for 1
hour. Then, it is okay for them even if you exceed for how many minutes. Don’t worry;
if you don’t know how to use the paddle, it is easy to learn it. Just turn it
to the left or turn it to the right. No problem even if you bump the boat of
others. All you have to do is say sorry.
Their bump would not sink easily; but don’t do this oftentimes because it is
already annoying. Practice makes perfect, ok? Anyway, you can look for a photographer
if you want to capture this happy moment of yours. You can find them anywhere
in the park.
Then, if
you love biking, Burnham Park has a bike rental. They have bikes for adults and
for the kids also.You can choose between three wheels and two wheels, but not
four wheels. The rent cost only pesos for one hour. It is enough for you to
exercise your body.
Of course, you can have a picnic
here and play a kite with the kids. This is also good for a romantic date. But
please, don’t be a PDA (public display of affection) even you need to hug
someone to give heat to your shivering body. You know what I mean, buddy.
There are restaurants in the
vicinity of Burnham Park. Their foods are available at very affordable prices.
If you don’t want to eat a heavy meal, chicaron vendors are scattered here. You
can buy also silvers from our Muslim brothers and sisters. No, you can eat
that. Don’t look for pirated DVD’s if you don’t want them to get angry. No, no,
forget it. What I mean is Burnham Park is a commercial area. So, you can find
different products here, from food to toys and other items. That’s it and
enjoy!
